B17 Flying Fortress
Built in California by Lockheed, just in time to miss WW2, this aircraft was used for training and then various trials.
Bought by the French Geographical Institute in 1954, carried out aerial survey and mapping work.
Eventually sold to a UK business man in 1975 and named after his girl friend, Sally B.
Now kept at Duxford.
