Description:
76017 British Rail Standard 4, 2-6-0 nicknamed the “Moguls”. Designed by Robert Riddles and used on freight or stopping passenger. 76017 was built in 1953 at Horwich and withdrawn in 1965. In 1954 went through catch points and down the embankment. Has five foot, three inch driving wheel. Working weight 60 tons and a tractive effort of 24170 l/ft. Now preserved on the Watercress Line, one of the last four preserved.
